Multilingual

One question. Six languages. The same facts.

Your visitors ask in their language. The assistant answers in it — grounded in the same content you wrote once.

In short

Multilingual customer service answers each visitor in the language they wrote in, using one set of source content. DeskClerk AI detects the language of the question and replies from the same knowledge base, with the source attached.

  • Answers in the visitor's language
  • One knowledge base, not one per language
  • 4 interface languages today
  • RTL supported
  • No per-language setup
How it works

Detect, retrieve, answer

1

Detect

The assistant reads the visitor's message and identifies the language.

2

Retrieve

It searches your content — one knowledge base, not one per language.

3

Answer

It replies in the visitor's language and cites the source page.

Interface

Four languages today, stated honestly

What “multilingual” covers

The assistant's answers follow the visitor's language. The console and widget interface are translated into English, Chinese, German and Arabic today; additional interface languages are planned, not shipped.

  • Answers grounded in one set of documents
  • German and Portuguese have a site-language exception
  • RTL layout supported for Arabic
  • No per-language knowledge base to maintain
The problem

Where it hurts today

English-only support

International visitors leave when the answer is in a language they do not read.

Translated content drift

Separate per-language pages go out of date at different times.

Machine translation without facts

A translated guess is worse than no answer.

Extra tools

A translation plugin on top of a chatbot on top of a help desk.

In practice

What it looks like on a normal Tuesday

A visitor asks the question you have answered a hundred times. The assistant replies from your content, shows the source, and captures the details when it matters.

  • Auto-detects the visitor's language
  • Replies in the language the visitor writes in
  • You keep your material in one language
  • Perfect for stores selling across borders
